Title: P 40 Kittyhawk Mk III 1/48 AMT "Lady Godiva"
Post by: Mark Joyce on July 23, 2012, 06:45:18 AM
Hopefully K.C. Hawk will finish his build of this model.  In the meantime, I'll post some pictures of mine.  I actually finished it earlier this year but was not too happy with the end result, mainly due to the decals...the nose art silvered some and I fairly bungled the Tally Ho decals, which I originally wanted to use, so ended up using the Eduard ones.  I like Eduard but unfortunately the color of the roundels is wrong (red instead of orange) so I had to fix that...or at least attempt to.  After the decal issue, I didn't have the desire to put anything but the littlest effort I could get away with into the build.

I wanted an easy, straight-forward, headache-free build so this was OOB, along with the incorrect seat that's included with the kit.  Anyway, hope you enjoy.

Mark

That's a nice looking build up!  Nice to see markings you don't see very often.
