Title: Survival Kit Post by: P-40 Admin on December 05, 2012, 11:21:03 AM Does anyone know what was all in included in the survival kit of a P-40? For the P-40's that flew over the desert, did they carry extra water? If so, was it with the survival kit in the access door of the fuselage or in the cockpit, or both?

You would think over the desert, they would try to carry as much water as they could, but then where would you put it? They couldn't carry a whole lot in the baggage compartment as that could upset the center of gravity.
