Title: P-40L "Sawtooth Apache," 317th FS/325th FG
Post by: Mark Joyce on June 22, 2016, 05:18:54 AM
I have or am about to wrap up three P-40 builds going on simultaneously.  This is the first: the 48th scale AMT kit in the markings of "Sawtooth Apache," flown by Cecil O Dean.  I chose to model mine prior to the application of the unit's famed black and yellow checkertails.

These AMT, as well as all their reboxing's still look good today.

Good job on building three at one time. Still very slowly working on my 1/32 P-40E. Also working on my 1/16 Don Garlits RED as well as getting a number of car bodies ready for spray painting outside while the weather's decent here in Minnesota.

Modeling time goes down in summer, the weather's too nice and it seems to go by faster as I get older! I'll have a lot to work on this winter.
