My understanding is, as Dana Bell says in his reply, that the letters are blue so that's what I go with...but since decal manufacturers have done both blue and black everyone can choose which color they prefer.

This was during its rebuild in Middlesboro, Kentucky. I looked really hard at the "US ARMY" letters and it appeared to be a very, very dark blue. My two cents anyway... |
