Delicate work for sure but the end result is going to be something special, I am enjoying every stage of this build.

outstanding work sir, great attention to detail and yes the darker green is better.

Nothing better than a well built P40, I look forward to watching the progress of the model.

I am green with envy, that is going to be a beauty.

Shame there is no P40N's in diecast, (except maybe IXO), 1/32 scale allows the aggressive look of the P40 to really show.

Good things are always worth waiting for, excellent work sir.

From a Limey that appreciates just how great an aircraft the P40 was, (mid east campaign anyone).

I remember seeing this great lady at Duxford.

She is a real gem, they certainly did a great restoration on her.

Excellent post Admin.

Hello gentlemen, good to see new members.

I too am an avid P40 fan, my place is full of models of the good old P40.

Very difficult to answer that one.

Do we deprive future generations of seeing and hearing the beauty of these old warbirds or do we keep them flying.

To see and hear a P40, Spitfire, Corsair etc in the air, is an unforgettable experience, so in my view keep them flying.

Maybe we should clone them all and fly the clones, not as silly as that may sound, you can if you have the money, buy a new Spitfire!
Me 262, FW190 new builds are out there.

When I heard the news that this gorgeous P40 was going back home I was very dismayed.

But then I thought to myself , well at least I have had the pleasure of seeing this historic lady in the air many times, now its time for the old girl to go back home where she should be.
The folks over the pond can now enjoy the sight and sound of a real majestic lady cruising the skies of its homeland.

Look after her guys, she is a beauty.
14  P-40 Warhawk Forums / General Discussion / Re: P-40 tool question on: January 26, 2014, 01:48:51 AM
Interesting, its what is known this side of the pond as "a thing of purpose"!

I have working in engineering all my life and have often adapted tools to help get into hard to reach places, that said this tool looks like a purpose built wrench, probably by Curtis.

In any case its a cool thing to own, anything with P40 stamped on it has to be cool.
