Because of massive attacks by spammers/hackers every day, I have disabled the registration process.  It was becoming overwhelming and I want to protect the security of the site and the members as best I can.

You can still register by sending me an e-mail with your username & password and I will manually register you.  My e-mail is: wolf427@comcast.net

Here is a link to a recent P-40 crash, there is definitely some damage, but at least it looks repairable and more importantly, the pilot was safe.

186  P-40 Warhawk Forums / General Discussion / New Zealand air show on: November 01, 2011, 05:34:32 AM
Here's a link to a long thread on an air show in New Zealand.  A good number of photos through the thread of a couple different P-40's, including a C that's now flying.  There are also some shots on the newly manufactured Fw 190, as well as a good number of different WWI planes which are also my passion.  What a great airshow it would be with six flying Fokker triplanes!

190  P-40 Warhawk Forums / General Discussion / Need photo for a calendar on: May 12, 2011, 11:39:10 AM
I received the following request and I am posting it here in case anyone can help him or help find him in the right direction.  Feel free to contact him directly.

My name is Justin Tokos and I’m the owner and creative director of 427 Design in Akron, Ohio. We’re a print/web design firm and have recently been awarded a Calendar Project for the Matco Tools 2012 Tool Calendar.  Matco Tools has asked us to feature their aviation line of tools for one of the 2 month spreads in this upcoming years calendar and at the top of our list is a P40 to highlight for that spread.  Now, we know there are easier pieces of history to locate and photograph... But we’ve really got our heart set on one of these beauties.  I ran across you site in my initial attempts to locate one, and sincerely hoped that you might be able to point us in the right direction.

Any help at all would be appreciated, and thank you in advance for your thoughts or feedback.

Hope you can help!

Thanks!

Respectfully,

Justin Tokos

Excellent job on the conversion Derek!  I saw some pictures of it reviewed on LSP, it's a great addition.  Will this conversion also fit the old Revell P-40E?

Terrific looking model and so realistic!  The weathering is really top-notch, I will definitely be referring to a couple of these models when I get to mine. I will post a couple pictures of the completed model on the site when I finally get around to my next update and also link back to this thread.

Excellent build and a beautiful model!  Great job on the weathering.  I have been slowly working on another update, way behind on it.  I will post some of these pictures on the site linking to this thread.

Good question!  One would assume that those areas would have just been left factory standard?
