P-40 windscreen?

hi - i've just worked out what the thick piece of glass is that i acquired nearly 20 years ago - i understand it is the bullet-proof front windscreen from a P-40.
it is laminated, slightly green and about 40 mm thick, semi circle curve on top and square on the bottom.  Should i donate it to an aviation heritage museum or is this useful to someone to put toward a restoration?
