P-40K Formation lights?

Would the P-40K (Kittyhawk III) have had the blue formation lights on the foreward sides of the fuselage? I think they were on earlier models, but don't know if all models had them. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

None of the photographs I have of the K/Kittyhawk III shows the blue formation lights. They seem to be present on some, but not all, E models as well as on some of the earlier B/C ones, albeit at a slightly different location.

Thanks Mark. I guess, like a lot of details on warplanes, there was a great deal of variability. I'm not seeing them on photos of the plane I'm going to do, so I'm assuming that either they were not there, or they were painted over. It is a desert RAF Kittyhawk III in Libya. So, it was repainted in desert camo, and the lights could have been painted over.
