A little minor progress...
I've managed to complete the decalling and start attaching all the fiddly bits.





The 9 on the nose used to be an 8. The great thing about decals is their flexibility.
Serials are from Ventura and I used the the kit data stencils. I had a note from Brad Hagen that there should also be placards on the fronts of the oleos, so I'm going to paint those:



I used a PE Gunsight from Toms Modelworks and painted the Mastercasters Fishtail exhausts grey (for now)

I am still chipping away at this one.
I'm really resisting the urge to heavily sratch this plane as the servicing units kept them in very tidy condition so I've tried to keep it subtle. However, nothing can hide from the Pacific sun so I'll try to fade the paint as much as possible without going overboard.





Oil, dust and smoke are next.
Also, after a note from Brad, you may notice that I have painted the seat silver.

A quick question for you clever people...
Who can show me where the aerial wires attach? Does the K still have them going down to the wings?

Also, Does anyone have any colour images of the wheel wells showing the pipes and hoses?

Minimal update tonight.
Brakelines, weathering, gunsights and Tyres.







The middle shot shows the updated seat colour (Thanks for the tips Brad).
The last shot shows the Oleo placards which, like the sliding Canopy framing, are hand painted.
I know it's wrong but that's just the way I like to do it.

Excellent build and a beautiful model!  Great job on the weathering.  I have been slowly working on another update, way behind on it.  I will post some of these pictures on the site linking to this thread.
