I'm sure a lot of readers will recognize Eric Mingledorff's P-40E, Hold'n My Own, N1207V, it had a shark mouth, #38 on the sides, and on the rudder, a cowboy going to the bathroom on the rising sun, the aircraft was famous for a long time in magazines and the air show circuit.

Here are parts of two e-mails from Eric on his request for parts for a display aircraft for the Chenault Museum:

Lately I've been helping the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum locate parts from which an entire P-40 may be restored. General Claire Chenault's granddaughter, Nell Calloway, is the Director of the Museum.

We're looking at a set of wings and a fuselage for restoration, but the small, detail parts will have to be obtained from individual collectors in order for the CAMM to have a complete, displayable P-40.

General Chennault spent the last 8 years of his life in Monroe, Louisiana, where the Museum is located, and we believe if ever there was a place for a P-40 to take up permanent residence, it is here. Please look us up on the internet.

If anyone has any parts they are willing to part with or if you know where any are located, please contact Eric at Eric.Mingledorff@la.usda.gov, or, you can contact me and I will forward the information to Eric.
