P-40s and Outside Loops
«

Hi everyone! According to a book I read a couple of years ago, P-40 pilots were prohibited from doing outside loops. I think it had something to do with keeping oil in the engine. Can anyone explain this problem and what would happen if someone attempted an outside loop? Instant catastrophe? Engine damage, etc.?
