George Maude passed away

I just received this message from George Maude's son, Tony, that George passed away.
I wanted to regretfully let you know that George Maude owner of the RCAF P-40E 1034 passed away today after a brief illness. He was in possession of this remarkable original aircraft since 1946 when he had purchase from the Canadian War Assets Disposal and had maintained it in original condition since that time. He was the only continuous owner of a warbird since the war and his passage brings an end to a personal legacy.
Here is the link to his page on this remarkable aircraft.

Very sad news. My thoughts and prayers go out to Tony and rest of George's family and friends. Everyone who appreciates warbirds, especially the P-40 series of aircraft, should be thankful for George Maude's dedication to preserving #1034 over the years.
