I just received word that Charles Dills passed away in February, he will be missed.

That is a shame and thanks for letting us know.
I have not emailed him in a while and was considering dropping him a line.
We became friends over the internet via his web page.
I was interested in details of the P-40F and eventually built him a model of his plane (it's in the P-40 models section here in the forums). Also, he flew the A-36 Apache which I am interested in as well.
I will say he was very kind to me and I wish I had been able to meet him in person and talk P-40s and life in general. We owe this generation of people so much and it is sad to finally have to say farewell to them.
