I'm trying to make out the name under the exhausts of this P-40 for some time but have been unable to, and am hoping for help.  Any ideas?  Unfortunately I'm not positive who the pilot is.


Here's a close-up.  I was unable to enlarge the above photo for some reason.

With some assistance, got it figured out: "Sand Fly 3rd." Still don't know who the pilot is.
