I took a few hours to "correct" the prop.
It was the older narrow chord version used on the P-40E.
I suppose when Hasegawa put out later marks, they just didn't redo the prop.
Apoxie, superglue, and perfect plastic putty were used to make it a wide chord prop.
There was a product available from Grey Matter Figures for this wide prop.
But the product and company are defunct now.
I ordered some mold rubber so I can take an impression.  Don't want to have to do this again!

That is great news!  Perhaps we will have an accurate Merlin P-40F/L in that scale!

I do believe the Hasegawa P-40s are very good in that scale...but they are already approaching 20 years old.
Time for Eduard to work their magic!

Prop is painted.  Just needs some weathering.

Slow but sure progress.

The Eduard Brassin wheels are a sight to see.  Gorgeous product.
But I was worried about cleaning up the hub spokes.
Fortunately, my Dremel and I found a way:

Improved the kit's gun sight.
UV cure glue was used to attach a new and thinner glass part I cut.
Also UV glue used to make the clear "lens" bubble.  UV glue is coming in very handy!
