P-40E in 1:6th

Looking for the best in blueprints to create the most accurate 1:6 scale rendition of a P-40E. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I know that Top Flight has an eligant aircraft in the scale I am looking to build, but it doesn't do the job I want to do. I am building a plane that not only looks right, but feels right. My intended matierials are 18g steel for framing, aluminum sheeting for skin, and fiberglass rudder/flaps. If everything works out the way I want, I should come into around 10-12lbs. Avg. for this scale is around 8-10lbs. The right engine-prop combo will offset the difference. I am open to suggestion on any aspect as I am still in design phase. Again, thank you for any information.

i'd recommend the 1/5 scale jerry bates plans. best i've seen. there may be some true engineering drawings out there but do not know of a source.
